Birthday Parties, Pony Rides, and Friends

Meredith was invited to a birthday party today for her friend Kyle from school.  The kids in her class are so special, because most of them have been together since they were babies.  They are super close, and have such a great time together.

As you can see...Meredith was full of herself today, and she had a fantastic time.

Kyle's party was at Why Not An American Ark Equestrian & Petting Zoo.  The majority of the party was outside, and it was freezing cold.  They had a lot of fun activities for the kids.  They were able to pet the animals.
Here's Meredith checking out MoJo the camel and his brother.  She didn't want to get too close to them.  Those camels were huge, and they were only two years old.
Take a look at this zebra...aka mean zebra.

This zebra had a major attitude problem or got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.  It was not at all happy.  It kept kicking the other animals in the cage with it, and would nip at anyone who tried to pet it.  He must have been having a really bad day!
This is a dwarfed pony, and it is 19 years old.  So sweet and cute.  They taught the kids how to lasso.  Meredith wasn't much for that, but she did enjoy sitting on the prop.
Meredith really enjoyed painting the live horse.  I think all the children enjoyed it.  Meredith thought it was so great, and to be honest I think Creig and I were a little shocked that she actually did it.

All I can say is...poor horse!  It was the sweetest and gentlest horse, and it stood there patiently while the children finger painted all over it.

My favorite part of the day was the pony rides.  Meredith actually rode the pony and she loved it.  She did have a death grip on it, but she really enjoyed it!
For such a cold and messy day, it was so much fun!  I am so glad Creig and I were both able to go and enjoy this time with her.  This is my favorite picture of the day!
