Tooth #5

Thursday night Meredith and I were watching TV while Creig did some work on the computer.  Out of the blue, Meredith started screaming, "oh no! oh no!".  When I got to her she was holding one of her top front teeth in her hand and her mouth was bleeding a little.  Her top, four front teeth had been loose so, we were expecting this to happen.  But, I was not expecting her to pull it out herself.  Out of the other four teeth she has lost, we only have one to show for it.  For some reason or the other she likes to loose her teeth in her food an swallow them.  HA!

So, the first top tooth has been pulled and she is super proud of it!

Mother's Day Tea

Each year Meredith's daycare has a Mother's Day Tea, and I love being able to go and enjoy that with her.  This was was extra special, because this is her last year in daycare.  She will start Kindergarten this year. 

They made us the sweetest wind chimes out of flower pots and beads.  It was so cute!  Meredith had invited Granmommy to come too, and she was so excited Granmommy came. 

They had great food...strawberries, cheese balls and crackers, spinach dip, pinwheels and cake.  And, of course tea.  We had a great time, and Meredith was so excited she got to go home early with me.  I am so going to miss things like this when she goes to "big school" in the Fall.

Relay for Life 2012

Relay for Life was on May 4th this year.  Mom got us all signed up, got our t-shirts for us and we all met at Sun Valley High School.  It was quite a warm day, but we had a great time.

Meredith loves her wagon, and had a blast being pulled around the track.  She had it easy.  We walked in honor of my Mom, a thyroid cancer survivor.  We also walked in memory of Creig's dad.  He passed away in 2008 from prostate cancer.

I think Meredith's favorite thing about the walk was the kids play area.  She loved the bouncy houses and huge slides. 

We took Meredith to the CMC-Union booth and they were doing silly Cindy Lou Who hairstyles.  Of course, Meredith had to have hers done.  It was super cute!

Happy Easter 2012

Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter.  Meredith woke up early Sunday morning and was ready to see what the Easter Bunny brought her.  When we were all dressed and ready for church we loaded up and left a little early so we could stop by McDonald's for breakfast. 

After church, we went out to Mom and Dad's where of course she had another easter basket full of goodies.  After a great lunch, Uncle Patrick and Aunt Tippy hid the easter eggs outside for us.  Meredith had a blast hunting for eggs.  Her basket was way too full, and each egg had a little surprise in it.  We spent the afternoon at Mom and Dad's playing and enjoying time together.  Even though we live in the same county, we usually only see all of them at church on Sunday.  It was nice to spend some time together and Meredith said this was the best Easter ever!



Happy 5th Birthday, Meredith!

Meredith turned 5 on March 26th.  Each year we have a special party with friends and family, and a party at daycare with her friends.

This year Meredith wanted to have a swimming party at the Aquatics Center.  Here are some of my favorite pictures...

Her party at daycare was on her actual birthday.  We took pizza for lunch and then after nap we returned with cake and her favorite, cheese doodles. 

I can't believe my sweet little girl is 5 years old.  It won't be long and we'll be taking her for her first day of Kindergarten.  I am so thankful God chose us to be her parents.  She is one special, little girl! 

Meredith's Big Haircut

Meredith decided she wanted a haircut.  Not just any haircut, a big girl haircut.  So, we found a picture of exactly what she wanted and went to Emmy's to get a haircut. 

She was super excited!  She wanted to make sure she had enough to give to locks of love.  It worked out perfect, because she had just enough.  I was so proud of her!
