A Visit from the Tooth Fairy

Meredith lost her first tooth yesterday!  Interestingly, she lost it while she was eating her chicken nuggets at dinner.  She never said a word and Creig didn't even notice it missing.  After they got home from church last night we were talking and she smiled.  That's when I saw the hole where one of her little baby tooth used to be.  I was so excited for her, but she quickly began to cry. 

She was afraid that the Tooth Fairy wouldn't come to see her because she didn't have a tooth to put under her pillow.  She wasn't sure, but she thought she probably swallowed her tooth when she was eating her chicken nuggets.  Daddy reassured her that the Tooth Fairy would come, and after some quick work on Mommy and Daddy's part, Daddy received a text message from the Tooth Fairy. 
The message said:
                Hi!  It's the Tooth Fairy.  Please tell Meredith that I found her tooth.
                Tell her she will have a surprise under her pillow in the morning!

Meredith was so excited, I was afraid we wouldn't be able to get her to go to sleep!

When we got up this morning, the first thing she did was check under her pillow.  Here is what she found...

She was so excited, and couldn't wait to open it. 

She couldn't believe everything the Tooth Fairy left for her.  She said, "Wow, my tooth must have been worth a lot!"   She put everything back in the envelope and took it with her this morning to show all of her friends. 

Such a big girl!  I knew this day was coming, but I had no idea it would come so soon! 

She's going to Pre-K

Meredith's first day of Pre-K was yesterday!  She was so excited and we were excited for her too.  I still can't believe my little girl is in Pre-K.  This year her teachers are Ms. Ashley and Ms. Stephanie.  She will be learning so many new things.  They will work on writing and reading and much more.  Her class is doing a reading project.  Each child brings home a new book each night to read with their parents.  After they read it their parents sign and then after each child reads 60 books they will have a pizza party.  Her class is also going on field trips this year.  Meredith is so excited about that, because she will get the ride the big bus!

I can't wait to watch her grow and learn more this year! 

Ready to go:  chocolate milk, cell phone, sparkle tennis shoes and frog for nap time!

Another great hairstyle...

Creig and Meredith went grocery shopping with me on Monday morning.  Creig and I were both off of work for the Labor Day holiday, and it was so nice for the three of us to spend the day together and not have any big plans!  Meredith always begs to ride in the shopping cart when we go shopping, and I usually let her.  We spent about 30 minutes in the store, and as we were getting ready to leave she asked for a balloon.  Creig and I both looked at her to acknowledge her request, and this is what we saw...

These hairstyles just get better and better!

Dance, Dance, Dance!

Meredith's dance classes have started, and she has been super excited this year!  She is dancing on Saturday mornings, which is much more convienient for all of us and she loves her teacher Ms. Alicia.  This year she will be learning Tap, Jazz and Ballet and will perform a Tap and Jazz routine in the recital. 

We were not able to watch the first class, so I was only able to get a couple of pictures before class.

Can't wait to see what she learns this year!
