The Extra Mile

About a month ago, I sent an email to CMC-Union letting them know about our excellent experience when Meredith was hospitalized and to thank them for the great care she was given.  We also delivered a large box full of new toys, books, and games for the Children's Center to thank them for the nice toys and stuffed animal they gave Meredith while she was a patient.  A week after I sent the email, I received a call from someone in their marketing department.  They wanted to know if they could share Meredith's story in their quarterly newsletter; "The Extra Mile".  I agreed, and they asked if I would bring Meredith in for a picture as well.

The newsletter was published this week, and I was so excited to see it!

The new name tag...

Yesterday, I went to Target to pick up Meredith's medicine and I decided to get her a few surprises.  I bought her some stickers.  One of them was a set of zoo stickers. 

Last night she was playing with them, and she walked over to me and said "Mommy, I have a new name tag for you.  You need to wear it everyday so your residents at The Village of Woodridge will know where they are and who you are." 

She turned the sticker around and said, "See Mommy!  It's your new name tag."

The sticker said, "Welcome to the Zoo."   HA!  I laughed so hard, and Creig thought it was perfect!  He said, "It's so fitting."  HA!
