Meredith had her 4 year check up with her Pediatrician, Dr. Butler on July 22nd. We had planned to see her in April for this, but Meredith ended up in the hospital and we had to deal with all of that.
We had a great visit. She loved the paper gown they gave her. She had to fast, which didn't make her too happy and the blood work wasn't a party either! She did great and I was so proud of her for being so brave. She also had to get 4 immunizations in her arms.
Meredith was super happy to see Dr. Butler come in.
She says she is going to be like Dr. Butler one day. They had quite a conversation, and they talked about the dinosaur book she was reading. Dr. Butler said she was 95% in her height and 75% in her weight. Of course, we discussed the steroids being an issue with her weight.
She told me that Meredith was very smart, and she hoped her Pre-K teachers would work a lot with her this year. She suggested that we put her in a private school so she could go to Kindergarten this year, but we think it would be best to wait.
Dr. Butler had the blood work sent off. They were checking her for diabetes, thyroid problems, and her cholesterol. We were so thankful to hear that everything came back very good!
I am so thankful that we have an excellent Pediatrician like Dr. Butler. She is wonderful!
